The book chronicles Verna Felton's rise from a child stage actress to her final quarter century when she was known as one of the busiest and most loved character actresses in Hollywood.  The book contains 750 pages, 236 photos, and detailed appendices, including complete filmography, television, stage, and radio credits for her 65-year career.

Her voice delighted children in animated Disney classics, including Mrs. Jumbo in Dumbo, the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, The Queen of Hearts
in Alice in Wonderland, and Flora in Sleeping Beauty, among others.

Miss Felton was born in Salinas, California.  Her father, Horace Wilcox Felton, was a descendant of the Revolutionary Patriot, Robert Felton, and Nathaniel Felton Jr. and Sr.



The Felton Family Association holds their annual reunion, each July, at the Nathaniel Felton, Sr. and Jr. houses, at the Felton Smith Historic Site, at Brooksby Farm, in Peabody, Massachusetts.  The event is open to members and non-members of the Association.  The dates for the reunion, a general itinerary, and area hotel information are available through Mary Kay Felton at feltonmk@gmail.com.

Friday July 26, 2013

10 a.m.  Welcome, Historian's Introduction, Coffee and Donuts at the Smith Barn

11 a.m.  Tour the Felton Houses and Cemetery 

1 p.m.  Lunch--provided by the Association

2 p.m.  Annual Business meeting, and presentation by genealogist, Richard Herbert Tivey

3 p.m.    Choice of Events: Visit the Peabody Historical Society and Museum, Tour neighboring Salem and learn about the Felton's role in the Salem Witch Trials, Visit Brooksby Farm and the Farm Store 

5 p.m. Dinner at the Century House  Restaurant

Saturday July 27, 2013

10  a.m.  Coffee and Donuts at the Smith Barn, get to know other Feltons, meet our genealogist, learn more about the DAR and hereditary societies 

11 a.m.  Tour the Felton Houses and Cemetery 

1 p.m.Lunch--provided by the Association  

2 p.m.   Meet with DAR members, Priscilla Theberge and Mary Kay Felton and learn about membership in the DAR, SAR, and other hereditary societies, through your Felton  Ancestors

 3 p.m.  Adjourn
